Attractions in Capri Italy

You will fall in love with the blue grotto of Capri Italy. The blue grotto is renowned for its color and beauty. Its blue tones and effusive light rival the color in the most beautiful Italian paintings. You can visit by bus, cab or boat. You must board small boats to go into the grotto. These boats only hold 2-3 people and you will have to lie down in the boat to get into the cave so the trip is not advised for those with poor health, or with a limited range of motion. The magnificent Duomo Azzurro vault is a wonder to see. The miraculous blue light is actually the effect from sunlight coming in from an underwater opening in the cave. As the light filters through the water, visitors are treated to an awesome blue glow. Don’t miss the blue grotto.      

The unusual Capri Faraglioni is also worth a visit. These strange, craggy rocks are thrust 100 meters from the waters around Capri. Each has a name and each is more spectacular than the last. The coastal area near Faraglioni is home to many wealthy residents and to luxury hotels.  

The Charterhouse in Capri Italy is a lovely old monastery, with a long history and lovely green areas and geometric design perfect for a leisurely stroll with a camera in hand. Perhaps you prefer to wander Via Tragara, an old Roman road, steep and short, leaving to a glorious view of the shoreline and the water. At the end of the road, you will be treated to a magnificent view of the Faraglioni.
